Piazza dei Signori contains, among other attractions, the impressive facade of the Church of St. Clement from the late 12th century. Considered the most important plaza in Padua, this square hosted both the defeats and triumphs over the centuries of the city’s history. The clock tower designed by Giovanni Maria Falconetto and completed in 1532 still displays both the time and astronomical information.
