Museo del Vetro
Museo del Vetro offers information on the history of glass, the local craft and art with many centuries of history in Murano, as well as glass-blowing demonstrations. You can even see glass from more than a thousand years ago. Contained in a 17th-century palace built for the bishops of Torcello, the building overlooks the Grand Canal of Murano. Consider using the Venice pass to visit this museum. During renovation, displays may be limited. Our Murano trip planner makes visiting Museo del Vetro and other Murano attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

So it highly depends on what you are looking for.... - I did not do any prep work and paid EUR10 with the expectation that I would be a spectator to the best glass work Murano has to offer. Perhaps..... more »

I was fairly excited to see this as used to work with glass professionally in the past. After the visit, my conclusion is that it is not worth it, unless you are museum enthusiast. My wife and I have visited in Aug. '19 and including boat ride from Venice and entry fee (€14 x 2) we have spent almost €60 for this fairly boring experience. It is mostly collection of finished glass products that is easily overshadowed by what's on the offer in numerous glass shops on the island.

Completely not worth the visit unless you get a discount or get to go free. The museum is small and only has 10 show rooms with glass products, which you can spend maybe half an hour in if you move slowly. The displays don’t explain the history particularly well. Spend your €14 on glass souvenirs, masks, or food, but don’t spend it here.
