  A small number of monks still live here and in the way they did years ago. We saw one of the simple "cells" they call home. They do not leave their cell which includes sleeping area, study area, WC...  more »

  It should be known before visiting that the tours are only given in Italian. However, if you can find a way around that, it is a very unique experience that I feel not many who visit Florence get to.....  more »

  We visited the monastery by guide. Not free as said but 5 euro per person. Very beautiful place, worth seeing.
