  • Tabasco began its history in 1974 and was then the first Italian discogay. The place is located in the ancient crypt of S. Cecilia protrettoof of the musicians. Its location is central but secluded and hidden from prying eyes. Original room with a wonderful 1500s structure with stones, arches, statues of the time and a well still active. The most famous Italian and international DJs worked on the disco's consul. Tabasco closed late at night and remained open all year round. Always well attended being known all over the world was a must for the foreign tourist and with its ancient structure but pleasant and warm in a very cosmopolitan atmosphere. From here have passed famous people such as Miguel Bosè, Stearling Saint Jaques and Donatella Milani you could meet Tondelli, Don Lurio, even Sylvester in 77 came to present his record. Unfortunately in May 2010 it was closed by law enforcement. The charge against the owner Marco B. (Reo Di Not Having controlled what happened in the room) is that he allowed drug use inside the premises. From 2011 to 2014 it was reopened, and perhaps went on for a few more years. What I do know is that it currently languishes in the most total desolation pending its redevelopment. One thing is certain, however, Florence this historic Discogay has not forgotten it and still cheers for him: "Forza Tabasco!"
