Immerse your senses in the sights, sounds, and tastes of Mercato Centrale. Pick up everything you need--meat, fish, cheese, olives, pasta, bread, and wine--to make a delicious Tuscan meal. Most vendors will let you try samples of their products. If you get hungry, grab a panini from a stall or sit down in one of the market's eateries. A local favorite is panino con bollito, a boiled beef sandwich where the bread is dipped in the cooking broth and topped with salsa. Wash it down with some fresh iced tea. Upstairs eateries make this the BEST place to eat a range of quite inexpensive different foods if you don't want to spend ages in a restaurant. Fantastic freshly made pizzas and fresh pasta dishes from €7. Open all day and evening. Very busy at lunchtime, quieter at dinner. Chose from different outlets, grab a seat and drinks are served to the table.

Would recommend whenever you are in Florence! Very stylish! Collective dining! Great choice of local food and wine! Just you need to go upstairs! :)
