  • Very friendly shop owner and his niece who was so helpful in helping me find the perfect bag. Lots of options to choose from. There was no pressure to buy. I was walking around in the store for a while trying to decide which one I liked the most. The bag I chose came in tan leather, plain beige leather, red, navy, black, yellow and dusty pink. An array of colours and styles. So many choices available. I wasn't looking for anything in particular when I first walked into the store. I went to two other stores before this one but ended up purchasing from Massimo leather. I love my new bag and it will be a wonderful souvenir from Florence. I'm happy with my purchase! 😊👍Highly recommend! 😊
  • This shop is split into two - one for jackets, one for bags/wallets. The latter didn't particularly catch my eye, so most of this review is for the jackets side. The man who helped me here gave great service, spoke English well, and recommended some styles for me that I loved. I received the best service of my trip from him. I was backpacking, so I wasn't able to pack the most fashionable of outfits, and definitely felt ignored at many other shops because of this. Not the case at all here. He was very patient, allowing me to take my time trying on as many jackets as I liked, yet did not make me feel pressured at all to buy. Polite/attentive without being ingratiating, and made excellent small talk, too. I will say that I didn't experience as amazing of service the bag side of the store (wasn't greeted by either Massimo or the female staff member), though that may have just been because they were busy with two groups of other visitors. The store ships internationally, on your schedule, which is great if you're also heading to other destinations and have limited bag space. A much better experience than the outdoor San Lorenzo Market stalls, where there's a ton of pressure to buy what may not be goods of the highest quality.
