The Badia Fiesolana was an medieval and renaissance period Roman Catholic monastery located in the town of Fiesole (in the quarter of San Domenico), northeast of Florence, Italy. Since 1976 the building is the main seat of the European University Institute. The original Camaldolese monks building was completed in 1028 and was subsequently transferred to Benedictines from Montecassino and the Canons Regular of St. Augustine.

  • I attended a summer school hosted at the EUI campus located at the Badia Fiesolana. Two of the days, our classroom was the Badia's refectory. The staff at the University were excellent. The...  more »
  • Helga was there. I love Helga. Also the best building of the EUi, sure, but, Helga.
  • A lovely old monastery which is now part of the EUI,so it is a workplace not a tourist attraction. But they have very friendly staff and the café has decent coffee and the views from the mensa terrace are great!
