La Cinta Muraria - Camminamento di Ronda
See what it was like to defend the city from La Cinta Muraria - Camminamento di Ronda, a finely preserved example of a medieval defense system. The walls reach a height of 14 m (46 ft) and offer striking views. You'll also find a small museum and a gift shop within the fortification--be sure to pick up an "authentic" medieval map, designed to help modern tourists find their way around this historic site. Came here on a Sunday and decided to walk the walls to get great views of the old town. Stairs are steep, narrow but it is worth the climb...views inside and outside the wall are sensational...worth..... more »

Walking on the wall allows you to see the whole old city. I especially liked how you enter two different museums after half the walk, giving you the opportunity to learn more about it. Pricing is... more »

Cittadella is an awesome place. You can really get a feeling of medieval city. We have spent only an hour there because of lack of time, but I can image to spend whole day inside.

This is sick. Random small town and all of a sudden you run into an old, very well preserved medieval wall, cars driving thru it and all and inside there's more town. There's a tiny part of the wall that's collapsed but overall it's very well preserved, and the area where it's collapsed is amazing because you take an elevated walkway right over nothing and see how high the wall actually is (if you don't like heights, you might not like this part but it's worth it regardless). Walk itself takes 1-2 hrs I'd say and the whole time you can literally see everything going on in Cittadella so there's definitely no secrets in this town. There is also a little museum at the start and at the end, both are small and cheap but still cool, especially if you like medieval stuff. Also they have a little map of the town at the gift shop for like 3 euros and it's sick. Get it it looks like something out of Game of Thrones. And don't forget there is also a moat surrounding the whole town which is really really cool. It's a step back in time minus the cars.
