The Whales of Iceland exhibit is the largest exhibition of its kind in Europe, and possibly the world.

The Whales of Iceland exhibition is located at Fiskislod 23-25, in Reykjavik’s harbor area. Getting there on foot from downtown Reykjavik is easy and enjoyable and there is also plenty of parking available.



After the giant experience guests can enjoy refreshments at our café and browse our Whales of Iceland gift-shop.

  • The whales are just models but they have a really good audio tour. It's not the Smithsonian by any means but it's a fun little stop. If you're interested in whales it's a good stop with a lot of facts. There's a cafe inside too if you need a snack and The hop on + off bus stops here. The folks at the front desk were very helpful too 🐋
  • Life size whales exhibit. Among a lot of models they have an orca and a blue whale - full size. Definitely go. Audio guided tour in several int. languages. Spend at least an hour to see the interactive exhibits.
