Bluff Cove Lagoon, Stanley

#2 of 37 in Things to do in Falkland Islands
Nature / Park · Wildlife Area
Best known for its tuxedoed inhabitants, Bluff Cove Lagoon provides a natural habitat for over 3,000 Gentoo penguins and a growing colony of King and Magellanic penguins. A small cropping of pristine beach shelters the lagoon, making a safe penguin haven. Get to the island by ferry to catch a glimpse of its penguin population, and explore at closer range with an ATV or Land Rover tour offered by many companies. A quaint cafe on site serves cakes, scones, and tea, and provides a viewing platform from which to watch the curious birds. PutBluff Cove Lagoon into our Stanley trip planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.
