Monte Verde, the tallest mountain on the island of Sao Vicente, remains part of a natural park. Although locals once grew green beans and corn on these slopes, today the mountain features limited vegetation, its reddish-brown look making for great photo opps. Standing 750 m (2,460 ft) tall, the mountain provides a view of the entire island, which looks especially photogenic on sunny days. Monte Verde is a must see if you happen to be in St.Vicente! It genuinely deserves more exposure. The view due to difference in altitudes is simply amazing.
A brilliant vantage point!
