Trip Planner: Canada / British Columbia / Vancouver Island / Victoria Capital Regional District / Victoria / Beacon Hill Park
Stroll on woodland and shoreline trails, or hop on a horse-drawn carriage and meander around the many ponds and landscaped gardens at Beacon Hill Park. The park is home to raccoons, squirrels, river otters, swans, turtles, ducks, and geese, but also to some notable manmade structures. See what was once the world's tallest totem pole carved by Kwakwaka'wakw artisan Mungo Martin in 1956, which is nearly 39 m (127 ft) high. Notice how each of the benches is dedicated to someone loved and dearly remembered. The park also features two playgrounds, a waterpark, playing fields, and tennis courts. Golf enthusiasts can try their putting skills on a putting green. Children will love the petting zoo, where they can touch baby goats. From June to September, visitors of all ages can enjoy concerts on the stage in the middle of the park. To plan Victoria vacation without wasting time, ask Inspirock to design an itinerary.

Took my adult niece (first time to Victoria) to the park and found out she loves peacocks. Peacocks tend to roam near the kids petting farm. We could not convince the males to open up their tail feath... more »
This park reminds me of the parks in England - very well maintained and lots to see. The park was great to walk through and admire the ponds, animals, and foliage. Went in March and the cherry blossoms were peaking out! It looks to be well used and loved by the locals. The houses surrounding the park on the East side are very cute (one of the historic areas). The park also connects to the waterfront walk, which has fantastic views of the strait.
Been coming here since I was a kid I always amazing. Duck ponds. Kids park. Petting zoo. Acres of trails for casual walks. Great date spot.
