Chesterman Beach, Tofino

#1 of 261 in Beaches in Canada
Beach · Nature / Park
Take a walk along the long stretch of sand at Chesterman Beach, as surfers ride the waves and friendly locals walk their dogs. Find a spot to sit and enjoy the sunset, or build a fire after dark and watch the stars. At low tide, you can stroll out to the rocky island outcrop and explore the exposed tidal pools. Keep an eye on the time, though; the tide can rise very quickly and could leave you stranded on the rocks. • This is a magical place, and sunsets on this beach are breathtaking. With miles of soft sand to explore, there's plenty of space to walk, play, surf, or soak in the sights and sit by a fire.
  • A wonderful beach. The splendid view of Frank island. The sand is light grey. waves good enough to surf. The scenery is absolutely fantastic. Plenty of people surfing and plenty of walkers, and of course the massive Pacific Ocean to swim in. A very relaxing place indeed!
