For a glimpse of what ancient castles must have looked like when they were new, visit Ravadinovo Castle. The castle is an extravagant combination of various architectural and decorative styles--though it is not historically authentic. Green ivy climbs the building's exterior and its tall steeples. Stroll outside alongside fountains, garden statues, and tiny bridges. Listen to the sounds of parrots talking, and watch peacocks displaying their plumage or swans floating on the lake. The castle features an art gallery, wine cellar, and several large halls. Make Ravadinovo Castle part of your personalized Sozopol itinerary using our Sozopol vacation planner.

  • I loved it! I felt like a princess in a fairy tail castle. After we finished the tour, we started one more time. It is perfect for couples and for families with children also.

  • This is a fairytale castle and the only one of its kind in Bulgaria. There is so much detail everywhere we looked and all is well maintained. We liked the lake with the black swans, the wine tasting.....  more

  • To settle down the controversial reviews, this is not a historic attraction, is not a historic site, it's not recreating anything from the past and I do not think it's worth jumping in a plane, fly to Burgas, visit the castle and go back home the next day, but it is definitely a must visit! The palace and the garden are amazing, like a dream. The cafes and restaurants although are expensive compared to the area are something to enjoy. Take your time, 3-4 hours visit at a decent pace minimum, I can spend all day there. Yes, the place is too "artificial", it's made to be that way, eclectic by design and definitely it has the negative parts too. Now the gardens look just right, the trees are grown up and everything looks fabulous. This is a contemporary fairy tale castle. To better understand the place one should also care to find something about the history of the castle. I wish they should limit the animals to the free birds n the garden and on the lake. Yes, you can not go inside, because the place is not finished yet, I hope someday it will be. To sum it up, the castle is an overpriced impressive folly, that I would highly recommend it.
  • I recommend to visit... But just for 1 time. History of this castle: it was built by reach Bulgarian man and his sons. Dream of the childhood. And now they earn money. Ticket costs 20 LV (about 11€). 2-2.5 hours will be enough for this sight. Good place for romantic photos.
