Ethnographic Museum Reviews
I’m usually not a fan of these types of museums but this one was very good. It was also a much better value than a lot of other sights in Plovdiv. Recommended. more »
should stay at the desk for information and be more polite and informative. We were the only guests at the museum and couldn't find someone to ask anything from the time we paid for our tickets to... more »
A great place to learn more about life in the olden days in Bulgaria in general and in Plovdiv specifically. It's really worth to take a local guide in the museum to make the most of the visit, and it costs a mere 10 BGN (5 €). If you want to take photographs or film inside, you have to pay. The outside of the beautiful building and the garden with a very impressive tree are free to visit and to take pictures.
Large nobleman house, very elegant and with a splendid garden. Inside each room there is an exhibition showing info and objects relevant for Bulgarian traditional lifestyle. We paid 10 leva as a family ticket for 3. Views are nice and we enjoyed the garden.
