  • The museum isn't too large and overwhelming. It's also not crowded at all. The art is organised well into different eras. This allows for one to move from one room to the next in the order of the room...  more »
  • If you are an art aficionado, this museum is definitely a 'must see'. We spent over two hours and enjoyed every moment of our visit. It's not a major museum but definitely has much to interest art lov...  more »

  • Great collection. Demonstrates the work coming out of Northern Europe during the renaissance was easily as good as that produced in Italy. Very quiet when we went, virtually had the place to ourselves.
  • A very lovely museum. Entry prices are very cheap for a museum, 8 Euro. We went to see the exhibition of Pieter Pourbus and the forgotten Masters. We also booked an audioguide per person. You need that to understand it all. Without this, you don't know what you see! I was there for 2 hours for this exhibition. For the price of this 8 Euro, you also could see the other exhibitions in the building & in the Arentshouse too.
  • Small but neat. The best paintings are in the first two rooms right after the entrance.
  • One of the rare opportunities to see the flemish masters from a very short distance. Perfect to study the beautiful details of these paintings.
  • A must see for when you're in Bruges. It offers a travel through Bruges' art timeline, lots of explanation and great artwork.
