Opened in 1904 Broken Hill Regional Art Gallery is the oldest regional gallery in New South Wales. The beautifully restored building displays a selection of works from the City of Broken Hill's art collection and a quality program of temporary exhibitions by local, state and national artists along with touring exhibitions. The exhibition program also includes the Gallery's annual acquisitive award, the 'Outback Open Art Prize'.

    Excellent exhibition concerning degradation of the Darling river. Exciting work, well curated. Original Indigenous works by Badger Bates to buy as well. Well worth a visit every exhibition. Visit every time I'm in town.

    A well-run little regional art gallery! Enter via the gift shop and then give a gold coin donation to view the collection spread across two floors in a beautiful heritage building. The collection is focussed on outback artists and outback themes.
